Types of Afghan Military

Afghan National Army

The initial branch of Afghan armed forces that tackles land warfare is the Afghan National Army. This army's origin is dated back to the early 18th century with the establishment of the Hotak dynasty in Kandhar after Ahmad Shah Durrani's rule. After then, it was more polished and improved until in the early 90s, the Afghan Army was equipped by the Soviet Union which disrupted the management. However, it remained like that for quite a short interval and after then it started gaining strength, transforming to be one of the most recognized armies.

Afghan Air Force

The second branch of Afghan armed forces that manages the aerial warfare of the nation is Afghan Air Force. This force is well equipped with many high-elevated jets and high-end helicopters. The current government also has many AAF aircrafts taken under premises following the recent government dissolution. Multiple helicopters primarily Mil Mi-24, MD 530F Cayuse Warrior, UH-60 Black Hawk and Mil Mi-17, etc are a part of Afghanistan air force.

There are 11 air bases in Afghanistan, each of which is serving a special purpose. The Bagram Air Base is known to be the largest of all military air bases in Afghanistan, supporting cargo, helicopter, and support flights. There are 13 ranks in Afghan National Army for the exceptional and hardworking officers including  Dreyom Baridman, Lomri Baridman, Dvahomi Baridman, Turan, Jag Turan, Jagran, Dagarman, Dagarwal, Brid Jenral, Turan Jenral, Dugar Jenral, Setar Jenral, and Marshal. There are many different types of military jobs in Afghanistan but they're categorized into the following: 

Military Projects 

These are the officers going on the frontlines to battle against the enemies and strengthening the safety of their land. These officers spend months in training different skills making themselves psychically and mentally fit for every circumstance. For the army, it is essential to know how to ride different military vehicles including tanks, trucks, and more. Whereas, the air force makes it integral for the officer to fly the aircrafts, jets, and helicopters.
